Discovering the beauty of nature

Recently visited Penang's butterfly farm which situated near Teluk Bahang. With some impression of Melaka's butterfly farm I did not expect much. To my surprise, the butterflies are everywhere and you can even lead the butterfly to your hand. It's a great experience and shooting them weren't easy. They do not stay in one place long, and taking close-up shots need trial and error with the aperture. There were a lot of failure but it seems that there are some lesson learnt. This is the first time I encounter butterfly eggs which look like small buds hanging on the vine. Below are a few of my favorites.

Butterfly Egg

Larva (Caterpillar)

The Clipper (Parthenos sylvia)

Plain Tiger (Danaus chrysippus)

Yellow Glassy Tiger (Parantica aspasia)

Common Lime (Papilio demoleus)

WHOAAAA!!! Beautiful photos! 1st one reminds me of Lion King :P. Love the 4th one, The shades of red, the butterfly looking right into the lens, the textures of the flower and the triangular angles of the wings, just melt the picture together into a wonderful photo. Great Job!
